호주출신 2인조 인디포크밴드
할로우 코브즈 (Hollow Coves)라는 밴드 이름은
그들 음악의 사운드를 잘 나타내는 이름으로 짓고 싶어해서 구글 조회로 밴드 네임 생성기로 시도했다가 원하는 것을 얻지 못하고, 둘이 각자 밴드의 음악에 어울리는 단어들을 내기로 하여 수개월 동안 조합해서 지금의 밴드명으로 정했다고 한다.

이들은 호주 멜버른 출신의 인디 포크 밴드인 The Paper Kites나 영국 출신 포크 싱어송라이터 벤 하워드 (Ben Howard)와 같은 포크 음악으로부터 영향을 받았다고 한다.
